Eco-education: The Catalyst of Community Transformation
Thursday, September 29 th (1.5 hour Keynote)
Eco-education is key to helping transition our landscapes to edible abundance. In this
workshop we will explore how eco-education not only teaches valuable ethics and
curriculum around food, science, and health, but also how educational sites can be leveraged to help transition under-utilized landscapes in communities into more small farms, community gardens, school gardens and more. This workshop is taught by Zach Loeks, a pioneer in maximizing eco-education as a catalyst for community transformation.
