Meals On Wheels
How it works
Meals on Wheels provides a subsidized meal delivery service for local clients. With support from Northern Health, NEAT cooks five dinners each week along with soup, salad, and dessert. Meals are tailored to meet a variety of dietary considerations. Dinners are delivered by volunteers Monday (1), Tuesday (2), and Thursday (2) between 4:00 and 5:00pm.
Meals cost $15 each and are subsidized to $8 each. Financial support is available for those that require it through the Seniors Care Foundation.
Registration is quick and easy through through our online form. If you need help filling out the form please call us and we will be glad to help.

Meals on Wheels relies on volunteers to get meals to all of our clients. There are daytime and delivery shifts available – many hands make light work & we love all the help we can get.
As a volunteer you have a choice of which shifts to fill. Your options include:
Kitchen & cooking volunteers are responsible for a variety of things ranging from meal prep & cooking, packaging, assisting drivers & cleaning.
Shifts are 9am – 12pm & 1pm – 4pm.
Deliveries are Monday though Thursday starting at 4pm.
Pick up at our kitchen then head out on your assigned route. Upon delivery it is suggested that you spend some time visiting with the clients as a way to further enrich their day. This is strongly recommended, though not mandatory.
