NEAT is excited to be looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our team. This is a full time position, based on 40 hours per week and is eligible for benefits after a three month probation period. NEAT is a local non-profit organization that also runs a Drop Depot servicing Purolator, Cold Shot, and UPS. If you’re organized and enjoy a fast paced work day, this might be the job for you!
Job Description
Customer Service
- Greeting and serving customers in an efficient and courteous manner
- Handling customer complaints and inquiries professionally and in a timely fashion
Problem Solving
- Working to resolve shipping issues
- Working to resolve equipment and technology challenges
Relationship Building
- Building a positive relationship with the rest of the staff at NEAT
- Building a positive relationship with, delivery drivers, customers, and the community
Technology
- Assisting with shipping details and account challenges
- Accepting cash or debit/credit transactions
- Basic computer skills are a necessity: Email programs, telephone, daily cash out reports, etc.
- Interact professionally with contractors
Communication
- Effectively communicate in a positive manner with customers, staff and management
- Listen to customer inquiries and assist in finding solution when problems arise
Personal Responsibility and Accountability
- Adhering to provincial and organizational safety standards
- Demonstrate NEAT values of Integrity, Collaboration, Sustainability, Leadership, and Teamwork through interactions with others
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Experience using POS system and handling cash
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Comfortable with standing for the majority of the shift
- Professional communication skills
- Listening skills
