Grilling Up Something Wild

The summer weather has NEAT Pete and our Wildling crew itching to get back outside for another summer of adventure.

NEAT Pete is the Camp Wildlings mascot. He is constantly playing tricks on the Wildlings by hiding in the forest.

Camp Wildlings is back again this summer to connect children ages 4-12 with nature. This year we are kicking off our summer of adventure with an open invitation for the community to join us for a BBQ in the beautiful Fish Creek Community Forest. Our kickoff BBQ will be held July 10th from 4:30-7:30 and is free and open to all members of the community both with and without children.

Although BBQs are an essential summer activity, what makes this event special is the side of wild adventure served with every hotdog. Throughout the evening our Wildling team will be leading excursions into the heart of Wildling habitat (the Fish Creek Community Forest) to give everyone an opportunity to participate in the Wildling lifestyle. This will include fort building at basecamp 1, tree climbing and exploring at basecamp 2, creating with clay at the creek and the chance to meet our awesome team. Although activities will be in place we do hold true to our values of being child led meaning that you choose your adventure.

If you’re at all interested in Camp Wildlings, curious about what we do and our mission or just want to escape the chaos of life and let your inner Wildling free, our kickoff BBQ is the perfect opportunity.

Wild has no age limit.
