Peace Region Seedy Saturday – Online Facebook Event

Join local producer members of NEATs Northern Co-Hort for a live version of our Annual Seed Exchange on April 18, 2020.
Access recorded and live video versions of workshops on composting with Karen Mason Bennett of NEAT, Inro to Seed Saving with Tiffany Traverse of Fourth Sister Farm and Food Forests with Katy Peck of Canadian Acres. And a thank you to the City of Fort St. John who is continuing to support the exchange of food information in our community!
We will also be organizing a mail-based seed exchange with fellow seed savers from April 8th – 11th as well as create a physical seed pick-up station starting April 18th. It is our goal to help increase seed access for growing at all scales this summer in the Peace Region.
We really hope to support a community of food growers every year, but this year, in particular, it is more important than ever. Please use this page to ask questions, to support one another with resource sharing of seeds, garden supplies and knowledge of growing in our northern climate.
We do want to ensure that we are practicing safe handing measures when handling seeds to be distributed and ask the same of anyone who connects to exchange items during this time.
