NEAT is proud to announce the return of Energy Explorers, a conference aimed at increasing energy literacy for students in grades 5 – 8.
This 2 day look at energy; where it comes from, how it gets to our homes, how we use it and how to conserve it, will bring together leaders in the field to host fun, hands-on, interactive sessions that will help us, the average consumer, develop a greater understanding of what it takes to power our lives.
We have 14 presentations lined up from industry leaders Pacific Northern Gas (PNG), Peace Energy Cooperative, NEAT, Bear Mountain Wind Park, CanGeo, Pembina, BC Hydro, Falcon Energy, University of Calgary, Northern Lights College, the City of Fort St. John, and the Mobile Escape Room.
This educational conference will take place at the Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Center on October 17 & 18 from 10 AM – 2PM. Space is limited to 14 classes per day. Please note that classes will need to attend both days if you wish to see all presenters.
Schools coming from out of town and looking for lodging, please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org for rates and hotels.
