In this time of change and after a year full of uncertainty, NEAT is proud to announce that we will be bringing a virtual spin to the third year of the Energy Explorers Conference. Energy Explorers is a conference aimed at increasing energy literacy for students in grades 5 – 8. This years Energy Explorers theme is: World of Energy.

This 2 day look at energy; where it comes from, how it gets to our homes, how we use it and how to conserve it, will bring together leaders in the field to virtually host fun, hands-on, interactive sessions that will help us, the average consumer, develop a greater understanding of what it takes to power our lives.

UPDATED: We have 6 7 presentations lined up from industry leaders Pacific Northern Gas (PNG), NEAT, Bear Mountain Wind Park, BC Hydro, Falcon Energy, and the City of Fort St. John. We are excited to announce that AG for Life/Mobile Escape Room have partnered to bring a virtual spin to the mobile escape room we’ve been fortunate to have at all our Energy Explorer conferences!

This educational conference will take place on February 24 & 25, 2021 from 9:30 AM – 2PM. Space is limited to 12 classes per day. Please note: Teachers are responsible for ensuring that proper internet connection is available for their students.

Can I register my grade 4/5 class??

Brad Drader · February 1, 2021 at 11:43 am

I have registered my grade 8 science students, but am unsure as to the daily time-frame and what (specifically) will be covered during the sessions. I have 2 separate classes, so I am unsure as to how each day will be organized and whether I will be able to ‘switch’ my classes throughout the day.
Thank you.
