The Northern Co-Hort, in partnership with Seeds of Diversity, is hosting three webinars to celebrate seed saving and exchanging this spring! Tune in for this free recorded webinar, The Earth is our Provider: Grocery Store, Pharmacy and Hospital with Adrian Jacobs, followed by a live Q & A with Northern Co-hort producers, who will provide a local perspective on how earth is our provider. Registration form at the bottom of this page.

Webinar Description: Our Indigenous connection to our lands has sustained us and we flourished for millennia. Colonialism severed this close connection and has resulted in shortened lifespans and a myriad of chronic diseases. Reconnecting to our lands via healthy diets, lifestyles and Indigenous self-determination is pointing the way to our recovery from colonialism. A beginning of this journey is the seed blessing ceremony.

Speaker: Ganosono of the Turtle Clan, Cayuga Nation of the Six Nations Haudenosaunee Confederacy at Grand River Territory, ON. Adrian is the father of five and grandfather of two. He lives as guest on Anishinaabe Treaty One territory as Keeper of the Circle of Sandy-Saulteaux Spiritual Centre. He teaches in the areas of Indigenous history, culture and contemporary issues.
