Dear Susan….

Published by Karen Mason-Bennett on

On behalf of the parents, students, participants, and staff that you have worked with over your years at NEAT, I would like to express my sincere and deep gratitude for your innovation, creativity, and your unwavering belief that art and nature should be accessible to everyone.

When you started with NEAT we were a very different organization than the one you leave today. This is due in no small part to your dedication and ingenuity. The list of programs and activities you dreamed into reality is not small – Camp Wildlings, Energy Explorers, Let’s Go Outside, Pro-D Daze, Daddy & Me, and Food Secure Kids, to name just a few.

There is a whole generation of kids in the Peace that have explored outside, stretched their boundaries, and seen themselves as part of the big beautiful world around them thanks to you. Further, there are even more parents, educators, and students that have been encouraged to ask questions, to wander for a moment, to explore, and to follow their hearts. Thank you for being our leader through these times.

We wish you the absolute best in your future endeavours and know that wherever the world takes us, we will always find you nurturing the lives of those around you.

Thank you,
Karen
