Virtual Information Sessions or Workshops Available to Peace Region Agriculture and Horticultural Farmers

Join us in January to learn what grants that are available to farmers in the region and how to write a successful grant application

Virtual Introduction to Grant Writing (1.5 hours)

During this information session, you will learn how to:

  • search for eligible grants
  • turn a project idea into a successful grant application
  • apply for a grant

You will also receive a comprehensive Agricultural Resource handout that will help you locate grants, programs, and industry-specific information.


Virtual Grant Writing Workshops (4 hours)

These workshops build upon what is presented in the Introduction to Grant Writing information session. During this workshop, you will learn to:

  • search for eligible grants
  • write a successful grant application (including understanding application guidelines, demonstrating your need for funding, knowing which documents to submit with your application, and building a budget)
  • fulfill funding requirements (e.g., reporting)

During the workshop, special guests from the Northern Development Initiative Trust (NDIT) and the BC Ministry of Agriculture will share details about upcoming agricultural grants and programs. 

You will also receive a comprehensive Agricultural Resource handout that will help you locate grants, programs, and industry-specific information.

Information sessions are intended to provide a high-level overview of grant writing. If you have more time and would like to dive a little deeper into grant writing, we invite you to sign up for a 4-hour workshop. 

If you attend an information session and decide that you would like to learn more about grant writing, you will be able to register for a workshop after your information session is completed.


Information sessions and workshops will be presented online using Zoom (check your system requirements). 

New to Zoom? Join 10 minutes early for a brief Zoom tutorial. Attendees may also join by phone. The Zoom link will be provided with registration.
