NEAT is proud to partner with so many amazing governments, community organizations, and residents throughout the northeast. We are very fortunate to have such positive supporters that help to ensure the programs we offer are successful. We could not do it without this support. For that, we are eternally grateful.
The member municipalities of the PRRD also support NEAT programming in their communities.
Food Secure Kids
Food Secure Kids is a unique NEAT program working to with K-6 students to explore food security in their communities. In the 2016-17 school year, almost 2000 students participated in Food Secure Kids programming. There are so many fantastic community partners that came together to make this program a success.
A big thank you to Urban Systems Foundation, B-squared Construction, The United Way of Northern British Columbia, Shell, Enbridge, and AECOM who all helped build the last 56 garden beds at Bert Ambrose and Alwin Holland schools. It is true that many hands make light work; we couldn't have done it without you - thank you!
NEAT received funding through RBC Bluewater to study the effects of bioswales in northern communities. Bioswales use plant matter to hold excess water and filter it before it enters the storm sewers and local waterways. They can reduce flooding risks and heavy metal contamination dramatically.
Another Round of Applause
We have so many great supporters that there really are too many to mention. Here are a few more long time sponsors that have consistently provided support to a variety of programs over the years.
Thanks to Children First and Family Friendly for their support of Nature Play.
