Cookie Exchange

With Christmas Eve just 2 sleeps away, we thought we would share some of our favourite cookie recipes in case you've decided to do a little holiday baking.  Now you may be asking what cookies have to do with our environment, and we'd like to remind you that home baked is always better.  It's better for our health because we know exactly what is in our cookies and there are no artificial preservatives to help the shelf life of our cookies.  It's better for our environment because we have taken away all that horrible packaging!  And it's better for your family because it was made with love!

So while we know you could get hundreds of recipes from Pinterest, here are a few that we've tried out and can guarantee are winners!

These Chocolate Crinkles are a must for the chocolate lover in your life!

I had never heard of the Swig Sugar Cookie before last year, but I'm here to tell you they are Ah-Maz-Ing!  The cookie is the perfect "not-to-sweet" sugar cookie!  But please remember to keep that icing in the fridge!

If you're looking for something different than the traditional gingerbread cookie, sugar cookie, chocolate something cookie, I highly recommend these Glazed Lemon Sugar Cookies. They were the first cookies to disappear from my cookie platter last year!  And a little tip from me?  Use lemon juice (freshly squeezed, of course) instead of water in the glaze.  Trust me, you'll thank me later!

And finally, a perfect Gingerbread recipe for your Santa plate!

Happy Baking!
