Do you have things around your home that you don't need, but you think that there is a friend that could really use it.  Have you considered re-gifting it?  This website has an article that gives some really great ideas about re-gifting.  That is what our office is doing at our party.  No one is allowed to buy something new and we aren't allowed to use giftwrap.  These restrictions force you to be creative. Check it out here!
